Terms and Conditions

Owner is responsible and will ensure that their dog is up-to-date with their vaccinations, flea and tick treatments and de-wormer treatments.

Owner accepts full liability for any loss or damage caused by their dog whilst being walked.

Paw Patrol is not held accountable for vet fees or third-party claims whilst your dog is in our care. We do hold our own dog walking specific insurance with Protectivity (5 star rated) and this covers us as walkers for any fault on OUR part. We are, however, very risk averse and take all steps to ensure we risk assess all situations and our ultimate aim is to always keep your dog safe.

Owner is to make full disclosure of any quality or characteristic problems which might make your dog unsuitable for walking; including behavioral or health problems, antisocial behavior; including aggression, incontinence or lack of house training (if we are sitting) and excessive loud barking or whining and pulling. Failure on the part of the owner to disclose any matter which might render owner’s dog unsuitable for walking will be deemed a material omission amounting to a fundamental breach of our agreement.

Quirks/behavioral issues does not mean we will refuse to walk your dog, but we need to know about them to ensure we can accommodate them.

We make every effort to contact the owner in the event of an emergency. We recommend owners provide us with a contact number of a trusted third party should we be unable to make contact. However, we reserve the right to make decisions regarding your dog’s health provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of the dog and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon. Owner is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees incurred by the dog walker. Vet release form will be signed in relation to this to give us authority to seek veterinary assistance in your absence.

Booking us

Regular Clients with set days are guaranteed.

(Ad hoc - Walking clients)  Clients must ensure that their requirements for the following week are communicated to us no later than Sunday evening by 6pm as we plan our working week then.

(Dog Sitting)

PLEASE READ OUR SERVICES PAGE WITH REGARDS TO OUR SITTING SERVICE

We ask for a minimum of 1 week notice prior to the proposed "sit" and a 50% deposit at the time of booking will be required to secure your place. If the deposit is not sent at time of your booking, we are not able to guarantee your place.

This also goes for our late evening visits if you are going out. Deposits are none refundable.

Ad-hoc walks

We do accommodate ad-hoc walks WHEN WE CAN, and we make every effort to fit you in. As there are two of us we do have more capacity than a solo walker, and we use this fact to create a buffer.

However, we do only have one vehicle for business and have become very busy.

We do not over commit ourselves so we can ensure a high quality of service so we offer ad hoc on a first come, first serve. You are more likely to be accommodated if your dog can do 1 hour group walks as we have more scope for flexibility.

The definition of our "regular" guaranteed dogs constitutes the ones we have on set days every week, as these fundamentally underpin our business. We appreciate as much notice as possible for ad hoc walks but if you use us in a manner which is random and not set, we cannot guarantee a place.

This is because we cannot turn away a client who approaches us for regular, set days, these are considered priority and once these are booked in on your set day, then your place is secure.

Solo walk spaces are very limited - please enquire as we always help where we can.

Term time only dogs

We take on a small amount of term time as the drop in service is too great. Please enquire.

Cancellation Policy

(Walking) You may cancel your booked slot and provided you give a minimum of 24-hours' notice; you will not be charged. However, if cancellation is made within 24-hours of the walk commencing, the full rate will be charged.

24 HOURS IS A FULL 24 HOURS NOTICE. I.E. IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL US ON A WEDNESDAY, PLEASE LET US KNOW BY MONDAY EVENING SO WE CAN ATTEMPT TO REPLACE THAT WALK.

(Sitting) We require a minimum of four-days' notice to cancel. Failure to do so will result in 25% of the stay payable and your deposit is non-refundable. Once sitting commences, full payment is due under any circumstances.

Charges:-

(Walking) Charges are as advertised on our Services page. Please visit the Services section on our website to view them fully. Please be aware that our rates are very competitive and are not negotiable. We have undertaken market research.

(Sitting) Charges are per day (not night) this applies from when they are considered in our care (when you leave) to when you return, for example from Saturday to Saturday will count as an eight day sit. On the final day we are happy to visit again up to 7pm so you do not have to rush back.

(Invoicing) We keep an accurate record of customers bookings and text or email customers with their invoice. If you have sporadic, one off walks, please pay up front as this isn't worth the additional admin time creating an invoice.

ALL CLIENTS INFORMATION IS SECURE AND RETAINED IN LINE WITH GDPR.

Termination Policy: -

Clients and Paw Patrol agree to give one week’s written notice to cancel the agreement. If you do not require the service for that week a cost of 50% of that week's walks will be due. This will be based on an average of your previous 4 weeks.

Flexibility is required: -

(1)  We are fully insured to walk up to six dogs (each) at a time, but we have never fully utilised this, nor would we want to.

Most of the time your dog will be walked with other friendly dogs, unless prior agreement is made that you dog can ONLY be walked on a solo walk (very limited availability for solo walks)

On occasion we hire a freedom field on a weekend, which is purpose built for dogs (extremely large, secure, safe and with 6ft high fencing) It requires a journey and payment for us to do this so we can only offer this for large groups of one-hour walks. We advertise these slots on social media.

(2)  Your booked time is estimated only and whilst we make every effort to arrive at the time given, depending on road conditions and unforeseen circumstances, please allow approximately 30 minutes after your booked time slot for Paw Patrol to attend. In adverse weather conditions please understand that we are still open and may be slightly delayed. If, however, we are more than two hours overdue then Paw Patrol will refund 50% of the walk. Please note that time starts from when the Paw Patrol walker arrives at your property. Clients may also make further requests to the Paw Patrol Walker which will take extra time out of your booked walk. All walks are 30 minutes or 60 minutes only.

Late Payment Of Commercial Debts Act 1988 amended 1998 & 2002, we would like to remind customers that payments are due at the end of each working week or on final working day of that week. We as a company reserve the right to impose a £2.50 initial late payment fee if a payment is more than three days overdue, then £0.50 charged on a daily basis from the fourth day until payment is received in full.

Weekend working/evenings

Weekend working is the exception, rather than the norm but when we do work weekends, we notify clients via social media.

We will work weekday evenings but there is a surcharge after 6pm.
